The Indian team’s kickass performance at the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup has been garnering massive attention. From Sachin Tendulkar to Rahul Gandhi, all the big wigs have been following and tweeting for the cricketers who have managed to reach their second World Cup final to be played against England on Sunday.
The congratulatory messages poured in for the women in blue after they beat six-time champions Australia in the semi-final. However, it was senior BCCI official Rajeev Shukla’s tweet that managed to make the most headlines.
Instead of congratulating the women for making it to the World Cup Final, he made the grave error of writing Champions Trophy final.
Though he later corrected himself, the IPL Chairman was slammed on Twitter for the ‘mistake’.
