Prince Louis, the youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton was christened on Monday, 9 July, at St James’ Palace.

Robe with a History
The Prince was dressed in style, in a robe that was a replica of the Royal Christening Robe made in 1841 for the christening of Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter.
The Twitter handle of The Royal Family went ahead and posted pictures from past royal christenings.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte also adorned the same robe at their respective christenings in 2013 and 2015, respectively.

Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip were not present for the royal event due to their trip to Norfolk. The Queen is due to host US President Donald Trump in Windsor on Wednesday, 11 July.
