Delhi recorded the lowest temperature at 3.4 on Wednesday night. Shimla was covered under snow at minus 3 and the Kashmir valley saw all its lakes frozen and trees laden with snow.

The Met department said that Mumbai was indeed having a hard time as the temperatures dipped four degrees below normal. It said that the sudden dip came due to the northerly winds in the state. Temperatures in Nashik dipped as low as 6 degrees.
