President, Sportspersons congratulate Mary Kom as she wins Women’s World Boxing Championship for the sixth time.

On Saturday, 24 November, Mary Kom became the first female to achieve six boxing world titles by winning the 48 kg gold at the 2018 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in New Delhi.

The 35-year-old has overtaken Ireland’s Katie Taylor as the first female boxer to win six gold medals. Moreover, she is the second boxer ever (male or female) to achieve the feat after Felix Savon.
