Indian, Pakistanis and ‘black people’ alike were livid on social media when this post went viral:

Context: Air China, China’s premier airlines’ in-flight magazine Wings of China, gave a bunch of dos and don’ts to those visiting London. The dos looked fine, but the don’ts were severely problematic.

The magazine advised the ‘foreign’ tourists to steer clear of areas populated by ‘Indians, Pakistanis, and blacks’.

Interestingly, the Mayor of London is a Pakistani and his viral hashtag, #LondonisOpen seemed unassumingly out of place amidst the controversy.

Air China issued an apology after the controversy spread like wild fire on social media; tweeple are still recuperating from the insinuation. Here’s how the discussion is panning out.
