Google responded to an 86-year-old grandmother for her politeness in using “please” and “thank you” in her Google search.

British television gives end credits of years in Roman numerals and she wanted to know them in the Hindu-Arabic system, reported The Guardian.

Her grandson, Ben John uploaded a photo of the search on Twitter thinking it would get a few re-tweets, only for it to get over 13,000 shares.

When asked why she was so polite in her search, she said she thought there was a person sitting at the Google office, looking into all the searches and her manners would get her a quick response to her search.

Google’s official handle also responded to the polite little lady.

Ben had been waiting for that reply.

Ben’s grandmother has since been interviewed by BBC, CBC and Capital FM radio.

His grandmother has clearly become an internet celebrity, for all the right reasons.

This just goes to show that a little politeness goes a long way!
