In three slides, the penguins begin by talking to their parrot friend who lives in a warmer region.

In the next illustration, they are seen packing their suitcases with clothes, cameras, maps and tinned fish in preparation of their trip down south. A little calendar, placed next to a photoframe of their friend, shows today’s date (that is 18 December) in this illustration.

The last slide has a photo frames of all the friends with gift boxes marked with dates of the upcoming holidays - 25 December, which is Christmas Day, 31 December, that is New Year’s Eve, and 1 January, which is New Year’s Day.

The first Google Doodle was designed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in honour of the Burning Man festival in 1998. Subsequently, Google Doodles were designed by an outside contractor, but in 2000 a team of Google employees called Doodlers have taken charge of the Doodles department providing us with delightful animated works and illustrations to mark important days.
