People in parts of Delhi and Gurugram woke up to heavy rains, lightning, and thunder on the morning of 28 August. Though the rain brought down the temperatures, it also caused water-logging in many areas, resulting in traffic jams.

People took to Twitter to share photos and videos of the state of roads in Delhi NCR.

People shared their woes using the hashtag #DelhiRains.

Many shared how the traffic jams made them late for work.

Despite public transport being slow or stalled in the national capital region, some refused to be perturbed.

Some held Delhi government’s mismanagement responsible for the inconvenience faced by people.
