Recently, a Reddit user posted a picture in which a bride can be seen waiting for her chance to cast her vote in the rerun of the Istanbul mayoral elections!
Earlier, the results of the elections – held in March – were annulled due to alleged voting irregularities. A redo of the elections was called, by the Electoral Board, on 23 June.
Ekrem Imamoglu, from Turkey’s Republican People’s Party, defeated Binali Yildirim, from President Erdogan’s AK Party, to become the Mayor of Istanbul, not the first... but for the second time in four months!

This young lady, by exercising her right to vote, despite prior commitments, has emerged as an example for millions of eligible voters who might have had second thoughts regarding their decision to cast their votes.
