Women across the world took to Twitter earlier this week to share their gorgeous photos in sarees. The men, it seems, felt a bit left out of sorts and thus they wanted to show off what they have in abundance --- their beard! Don’t believe me?

We have all heard about #NoShaveNovember. It is not just a social media campaign but an attempt to start a conversation around cancer – specifically in men. Nearly 200,000 men die of cancer in India every year.
These numbers can be dramatically brought down with early screening and detection. Bottom line, so many lives don’t have to be lost to create awareness.
Oral and lung cancer are the leading cause of cancer in men.
However, #BeardTwitter doesn’t seem to have any social connotation attached with it. It seems like another of those Face App type challenge that took over social media by a storm earlier this week and has no cultural/political significance whatsoever.
Anyhoo, from politicians to celebrities, everyone on Twitter (read the men) has shared their ‘hairy stories’ ever since the trend began.
Wonder if women’s hairy stories would trend this much? Food for thought.
