Bigg Boss could be like real life if you were in a boot camp, being prepped for the show.

The Bigg Boss season is here and soon it will become a part of your everyday ritual. Cat fights, physical violence, love angles and triangles – you wouldn’t want to miss anything. Pretty sure you have already made assumptions about what the first cat fight will be, any guesses — Nehha Pen Anoop Jalota and Jasleen Matharu are already causing stir outside and inside the house.

But as an avid Bigg Bosser...I think this season is worth a skip...SHOCKER! Here's why.

Is Everything That Happens in Bigg Boss’ House for Real?

What kind of shows get good TRP? Thanks to Indian TV, shows with melodrama… A slapped B-type shows are bound to do well. By that measure, what kind of contestants do well in Bigg Boss? Ones who are bound to generate conversation or controversy. When did Sunny Leone first make an appearance on Indian TV? No points for guessing...Bigg Boss. Though she had both style and substance, the platform injected her with enough 'masala' to stick in public conversation.

Tasks That Create Unpleasant Situations

It’s true that the BB house has a rule where any physical violence is unacceptable but it’s also true that people are put in situations where they lose control, abuse and end up hitting their housemates.

We have seen and enjoyed it in the past but what are we drawing from it?

Imagine this, there are 10 housemates and BB provides 8 eggs. In a situation where everyone eats eggs, what do you think will happen? In normal circumstances, someone will give up eating eggs because “Hey, it’s chill.”

But here’s a bunch of people who are being pitted against each other, biases come into play, they are locked in a house..where suddenly eggs really matter...

So…let’s FIGHT.

Love Angle to Spice Things Up....But No ‘Love, Actually’

You say that and I bet BB lovers will think of one particular season. Tanishaa and Armaan Kohli in BB’s Season 7! I can vouch for it and say that it was one of the most popular BB seasons. Why? It had all the drama.

Ladai thi aur pyaar bhi tha. Well, at least it seems so.

Tanishaa, Kajol’s baby sister, became the talk of the town then. Everyone dissected how she brought ‘’ill repute'’ home through her ‘act’ on the show. Clips of her and actor Armaan Kohli went viral on social media.

Rahul Mahajan and Payal Rohtagi’s Season 2 high drama love angel made headlines.
Sara Khan and Ali Merchant who got married in the house were reportedly paid Rs 50 lakh each for the ‘staged wedding’.
Gauhar Khan and Kushal Tandon’s pairing in Season 7 got people talking and their unofficial couple name ‘Gaushal’ got BB fans going ‘awww’!
Gautam Gulati and Diandra Soares’ alleged kiss in the washroom created a stir inside and outside the house.

It’s Really Just About Salman Khan

If you’re a Salman fan then your argument for watching Bigg Boss is probably just that. You just enjoy the way he pulls up people on the weekends. For you, it’s all about who he favours and who he dislikes.

Admit it, when any housemates do something off in course of the week, you are the one who says, “It’ll be fun to see what Salman tells him in ‘Weekend Ka Vaar.”

In fact, Salman has built this ‘holier than thou’ reputation so well that now even the contestants on the show make it clear that they are ‘scared’ of Salman Khan.

Sorry, but Bigg Boss Is Nowhere Near Reality

I have heard a lot of people say that, “Sometimes the situations these contestants face in the show are much like my dilemma in real life.”

What?

Unless you are being asked to stay in a tent for 24 hours, your situation is nowhere comparable. Do you watch Bigg Boss to console yourself that not everyone’s life is as bad? Well, rise and shine – these people get paid for doing this. One could argue that it’s cathartic in a sense, but let’s not go as far as to say we relate to Bigg Boss.

All said and done, I know even this season of Bigg Boss will be as popular as the last 11 seasons.
