Many people lose their way in life but some people are lucky enough to find Good Samaritans willing to go the extra mile to set them back on track.
According to The Hindu, on 8 August 2015, Thangaponnu, a farmer who tends cattle in a small village near Trichy and her daughter, R. Swathi, who scored 1,017/1200 in her +2 exams, were on their way to Anna Arangam Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore for the latter’s admission counselling.
But, at 6.30 am, a group of walkers came across the pair asking for directions on the Anna University Campus, Chennai where they had arrived by mistake.
The counselling was supposed to begin at 8.30 am in Coimbatore.
The walkers took it upon themselves to help the duo. They arranged everything from breakfast to flight tickets for both of them to Coimbatore – all paid for by the group.
Some members of the group teach at Anna University and they spoke to CR Ananda Kumar, the registrar of TNAU, to explain the problem and request extra time.
We took off at 10.05 a.m., landed at 11.28 a.m. and in the next hour we had the admission letter in our hands.

R Swathi, through the counselling, managed to get a seat at the Coimbatore campus for a BTech in Biotechnology.
According to The Hindu report, the mother-daughter duo plan to visit Chennai again to return the money for the flight tickets as a gesture of gratitude.
