Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2020 Eligibility

  • Age Limit

The age limit for the candidates for the above recruitment is from 16-19 years old. He should be born between 1 October 2000 and 30 September 2003.

  • Pay and Allowance

A stipend of Rs 14,600/per month will be permitted for the initial period of training to the candidates. After clearing the training, they will be selected for Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix which lies between Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. They will be paid Rs 5,200 per month plus DA as MSP.

  • Educational Qualification

Candidate must have successfully cleared the Matriculation exam from the Board of School Education which is acknowledged by the MHRD, Govt of India.

  • Job Description

Indian Navy has posted three jobs for the 400 vacancies of MR post which are:

  1. Chef: The candidates who will be allotted the job for the post of chef will have to make food according to the menu and keep a record of the ration. They will be given more work according to requirements.
  2. Steward: The candidates who will be allotted the post of steward will have to serve food at the officer's messes, they will have to perform activities like housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores and preparation of the menu.
  3. Hygienist: The candidates who will be allotted the post of Hygienist will have to clean washrooms, shower spaces and other areas where cleaning is required.
