Virat Kohli’s unbeaten innings of 147 off 241 balls has put India in a great position at the end of three of the fourth Test against England at Mumbai on Saturday.
The 28-year-old batsman strung valuable partnerships with Murali Vijay, Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav to help India gain a lead of 51 runs at the close of play.
India will be looking to get a lead of at least 100 runs before England come out to bat in the second innings.
During the day’s play, Kohli became the first player to record a career average of 50-plus in all three formats of the game.
