A lot has been speculated about the role Sridevi “missed out” on after the success of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise. The actress was offered the role of Sivagami Devi before it eventually went to Ramya Krishnan in the movies.
In a recent interview with senior journalist and film critic Rajeev Masand, Sridevi finally spoke about why she chose to stay out of the Baahubali films.
Although, Rajeev didn’t directly pose the question; Sridevi was only too keen to talk about it.
But I would like to talk about this. It has become such a big issue and people are imagining things (as to why I have said no the film). I have my own reasons. First of all, two parts of Baahubali have come out, and now they are asking me. There are many films I refused. Why are they not talking about it? Why only this film? Sridevi will next be seen in Bollywood film Mom which is slated to hit the theatres on 7 July.
