Southern Naval Command Orders Probe Into 26-Year-Old Cadet’s Death

The Southern Naval Command, on Thursday, ordered an inquiry into the death of a 26-year-old cadet, who suffered multiple cardiac arrests at the academy in Ezhimala, Kerala.

Cadet Gudaepa Sooraj suffered two cardiac arrests at around 2.30 am. He died at the navy hospital, in the early hours of Thursday, NDTV reported. He was reportedly found unconscious and unresponsive and resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

His family is in Malappuram and has been informed of the tragedy.
