Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Gopal Baglay said India has not even received a chargesheet against Kulbhushan Jadhav and does not know who defended him. Jadhav, a former officer of the Indian Navy, has been sentenced to death by a military court in Pakistan.

He has been under Pakistani custody for over a year, on charges of espionage.

We haven’t seen, we haven’t met [Jadhav]. He has been in Pakistan’s custody for more than a year. So the well-being and state of health of Jadhav is a matter of great concern.

On being asked if India would score 100 in requests seeking consular access to Jadhav, Baglay said:

We wanted to get out on 0.

Pakistan has denied India's request for consular access to him over a dozen times in the last one year. The latest request has been made on behalf of Jadhav’s mother.
