1. Lady Constables Raped in UP; Police Officer, 2 Others Booked

A case has been registered against three persons, including a police officer, for allegedly raping two lady police constables in separate incidents here.

In the first incident, a lady constable posted in Gwalior, alleged that she was forcibly taken away by Narendra and Babbal to a local eatery in Krishna Nagar area here yesterday, SP (City) Ashok Kumar said.

She claimed that Narendra raped her inside a room in the eatery while Babbal, the eatery owner stood guard, police said.

In the second incident, another lady officer alleged that she was asked by constable Satyendra Singh to come to Mathura Junction yesterday, where he offered her a spiked drink and raped her.

2. 13-Year-Old Girl Raped by Two Men, One Held

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men, of whom one has been arrested, for three days in Loni town here, police said on Wednesday.

The girl's mother today accused Suresh and his friend, Rinku, of raping her daughter. Suresh and his wife Seema, friends of the girl's family, lured her into coming with them to their house on 5 November for short-stay over the weekend, SHO Sahibabad Surender Yadav said.

3. Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rakhi Birla’s Father Booked on Rape Charges

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rakhi Birla’s father and a local party leader has been booked for allegedly raping a 24-year-old married woman on the pretext of giving her a ticket for the MCD elections, police said on Tuesday.

The party, however, termed the allegations as “baseless”. A case has been registered against the AAP leader Ram Pratap Goyal and Bhupender, father of Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla, under IPC Section 376D (gangrape) and 506 (criminal intimidation), they said.

4. Case Against Thrissur CPI(M) District Secretary for Naming Rape Victim

Police today registered a case against CPI(M) District Secretary K Radhakrishnan for disclosing the name of a woman, who had alleged that she had been gangraped by four persons, including two functionaries of the Marxist party.

Police sources said the case was registered on the directions of the DGP, who had received several complaints in this regard.

The case was registered at East Police station under Section 228(A) of IPC, as per which two years imprisonment and a fine can be imposed for the offence.

Radhakrishnan had, while talking to the media in Thrissur a few days ago, named the victim while announcing the suspension of the two party workers involved in the gangrape.

5. Youth Gets 10 Years in Jail For Rape

A fast track court has sentenced a youth to ten years imprisonment for raping a 16- year-old girl in May 2010.

Additional District Sessions Judge Manoj Mishra also imposed a fine of 15,000 on the convict, Saleem on Monday.

According to prosecution, Saleem entered his neighbour's house and raped the girl on May 28, 2010. The victim's mother had filed a complaint against him.

6. Woman's Body Found in a Bag at a Railway Station at Jaipur

There was panic at Gandhi Nagar Railway Station on Monday after police found the body of a 23-year-old woman packed inside a large travelling bag underneath the foot over-bridge of platform number one at 7.:45 pm.

According to Railway Police Force (RPF) officials, passengers waiting for a train found a black bag with blood tricking out and alerted them. When the constables opened the bag, they found the body of a girl whose face was covered with a scarf.

7. Surat: Newborn Thrown From Second Floor, Dies

A newborn baby died on Tuesday after being thrown from the second floor of a residential apartment here allegedly by an unmarried minor girl soon after delivery, police said. The incident took place at the posh Neelkanth Residency apartments in Adajan locality. The residents informed police after finding the remains of the newborn girl, Surat Police PRO GS Raol said.

A minor girl today threw her newborn baby to death from second floor of the apartment soon after she delivered her. The remains of the newborn have been sent for post-mortem and police will file a murder case after receipt of the report. We have also seized CCTV footage from the apartment in which the baby is seen falling from it.

8. Maoist Arrested in Munger

A joint force of Sashashtra Seema Bal, Special Task Force and district police have arrested an ultra of the proscribed CPI (Maoist) from Bihar's Munger district, police said on Tuesday.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashish Bharti said the arrested ultra has been identified as Ravi Ram alias Bhagna who is an area commander of Haveli Kharagpur area of the district.

He was arrested from Gidha village late last night. The man has been booked in 11 cases under Arms Act and murder

9. Three Persons Arrested in Double Murder Case at Patna

Three persons were on Tuesday arrested in connection with the murder of a senior citizen couple in the heart of the capital last Saturday.

Police, which claimed to have solved the double murder case within 36 hours of the incident, also seized Rs 63,000 cash, ornaments made of silver, gold and diamond, three mobile phones and five costly watches from their possession, which they had looted after murdering the couple.

Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said those arrested have been identified as Bhushan Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav and Jitendra Yadav – all residents of Karhara village under Ghosi police station of Jehanabad district.
