One Jawan Injured as Army Foils Infiltration Bid in Kashmir

  • A soldier was injured on Thursday as the Indian army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

  • The group of militants tried to infiltrate the Tangdhar sector. However, alert troops of the Rajput Regiment fired at them, forcing them to flee, an army official said.

  • The injured Army jawan has been shifted to a hospital and his condition is said to be stable, the official said. A search operation is underway in the area.

  • Infiltration bids in Kashmir have been on the rise. Earlier on Sunday, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, killing three terrorists in the process.
