A Bihar University told the Delhi High Court on Tuesday that the provisional certificate submitted by the Jitender Singh Tomar, the Law Minister in Arvind Kejriwal’s cabinet is fabricated.

Opposition parties demanded that Arvind Kejriwal step down from the post of Delhi Chief Minister owning “moral responsibility”.

Congress also sought immediate dismissal of Tomar, both as a Minister and MLA, while the BJP slammed Aam Aadmi Party saying that those who boasted of practicing “politics of ethics” have been “unmasked”.

Tomar has been facing charges that the academic certificate he submitted while filing his nomination for the assembly polls held in February this year were fake.

Even after this was pointed out to him (Kejriwal), why was the Law Minister made to continue? We demand that Arvind Kejriwal take moral responsibility and step down. The Law Minister should be sacked.
– Ajay Maken, Congress Leader

The BJP taunted the Aam Aadmi Party saying the Law Minister himself has shown how law is being toyed with.

The Law Minister himself has shown how law is being toyed with. Those people who spoke about ethics in politics have been unmasked. People of Delhi want answers from AAP for the way you reached here (gained power) by making false promises.
– Meenakshi Lekhi, BJP Spokesperson

Tilak Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar, where Tomar claimed to have completed his law education, told the High Court on Monday that the serial number of the provisional certificate in its record showed the name of some other person and not that of Tomar.
