Ghaziabad, July 3 (IANS) Claiming shortcomings in the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Ghaziabad traders held a protest march here on Tuesday and demanded changes in the new tax collection regime.
Holding their march under the banner of Udyog Vyapar Mandal, the traders also submitted to the District Magistrate a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The memorandum demanded rectification of what they called the "discrepancies" in the new system.
Leader of the traders, Gopi Chand, said that the new tax regime should be simplified and certain changes introduced.
He also demanded that under the limit under the Samadhan Yojana (GST composition scheme) should be increased.
