San Francisco, March 15 (IANS) American aerospace giant Boeing Company has announced that it has won a five-year contract to modernise the logistics and business system of the Qatar armed forces through its subsidiary unit.
Boeing said on Wednesday that California-based Tapestry Solutions, Inc. -- a business unit of Boeing Global Services -- will implement an advanced Enterprise Resource Planning/logistics Management Information System (ERP/lMIS) for the Qatar armed forces that will maximise the troops' readiness on land, air and sea, Xinhua news reported.
Robin Wright, president and CEO of Tapestry Solutions, said his company will provide the Qatar armed forces with "a world-class enterprise-level software suite -- a comprehensive, end-to-end platform that adapts to support the growth and sustainment of Qatar's force modernisation efforts."
Tapestry Solutions, Inc. is a global provider of information management software and services for defence, government and commercial markets, which serves customers from more than 50 locations worldwide.
