An Army jawan has allegedly committed suicide in Trimulgherry area in Hyderabad, in the wee hours of Sunday, police said.
Sandesh R (34), a native of Uttar Pradesh, was working with the Army Supply Corps.
He allegedly hanged himself from a tree near his barracks at around 2 am, said Trimulgherry police station’s Inspector, R Satyanarayanaraju.
As per the preliminary investigation, the jawan took the extreme decision apparently due to depression, he said.
A case has now been registered in connection with the death, he added.
