Tom Cruise has just confirmed he will be part of the much-awaited Top Gun sequel. The filming would begin next year. The actor confirmed the news on the Australian morning show Sunrise.

The original Top Gun released in 1986 with Cruise playing a cocky Navy aviator who enters the competitive Topgun program based at the Naval Air Station in Miramar, California.
