First there was Arunabh Kumar. Then there was Harvey Weinstein. Scores of women coming out to allege sexual harassment at their workplaces worldwide prompted Supreme Court lawyer Karuna Nundy to share a rulebook of laws – concerning both work and home – that every Indian woman needs to know.
In an article titled ‘Why it’s not okay to be called hot at work’ in Vogue, Nundy addresses the piece to all the women she loves, telling them that they were born with natural rights and should speak their minds and love who they want. “The State exists to protect your freedoms. Laws are just the rights that courts and governments promise to enforce,” Nundy writes.
