Not only is Varun Dhawan the voice of Captain America in the Hindi version of Hollywood’s latest superhero flick Captain America Civil War, he’s also a big fan of the superhero. At a recent event in Mumbai, Varun launched a Captain America life-size figurine, with a bunch of young fans.

At the event Varun spoke to the media and said that even though he loves Hollywood flicks, he’s certain that it will never be able to take over Bollywood.

“Hollywood will never take over Bollywood. Our Hindi film industry is original in its own sense and we have great talented people here. We will always survive. Artists will always have a voice in a country like India. I don’t think they (Hollywood) will take over us.” - Varun Dhawan

Varun also expressed his delight at having received high praise for his dubbed voice from none other Chris Evans himself. “I have been honest with my dubbing in Hindi. I have tried to keep the tone the same. And Chris Evans praise means the world to me,” said Varun.
