‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ Team Celebrates Show’s 3000th Episode

The cast and crew of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai got together on 11 September to celebrate the show’s milestone of crossing 3,000 episodes.

Lead actor Mohsin Khan took to Instagram to mark the occasion and thanked the show’s producer, Rajan Shahi. “Yeh Rishta team started shooting on 11 September 2008 and exactly 11 years later on 11 September 2019... We feel so blessed! Every single person in front and behind the camera have worked day and night right from the first day to make this happen. Thank you Rajan sir for dreaming of something so massive and for letting us be a part of that dream,” he wrote.

The show’s lead Shivangi Joshi shared a video honouring the show’s journey and thanking fans for their support in true Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata style.

The team got together to watch the 3000th episode at Shahi’s home. Tanmay Shah, Shivangi Joshi, Mohsin Khan, Medha Jambotakar, Shehzad Shaikh, Kshitee Jog, Swati Chitnis, Pankhuri Awasthy were among those at the gathering.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai first premiered on 12 January, 2009 with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra playing the lead pair Akshara Maheshwari and Naitik Singhania, respectively. There have since been several jumps in the timeline and the original lead couple has been replaced by Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi.
