Superstar Rajinikanth, who would be turning 66 in a couple of days, has requested his fans not to celebrate his birthday. The south superstar’s PRO Riaz Ahmed took to Twitter to make the announcement, adding that Rajini doesn’t want his fans to put up the usual banners and posters either.

Rajini turns 66 on December 12. It is believed that his request is a mark of respect to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa who passed away earlier this week.

The actor would next be seen in Shankar’s magnum opus 2.0 alongside Akshay Kumar.
