Even as Akshay Kumar fans are lauding him for his lawyer act in his upcoming film Jolly LLB 2, popular shoe brand Bata has sent the filmmakers a legal notice for for defamation and commercial disparagement.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Bata has pointed towards a dialogue in the film's trailer that refers to its cheap quality products as a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the brand. They feel it might be an instigation of a rival brand, which is endorsed by Akshay.

The notice further states that the makers should immediately pull down the trailer with that dialogue from all online sites and theatres, admit it was an error and submit a written apology. The notice has been sent to Fox Star Studios India, which is producing the film, along with executive producer Naren Kumar, company directors Deepak Jacob and Amit Shah, writer-director Subhash Kapoor and actors Akshay Kumar and Annu Kapoor.

The producers will talk about it, I’m not authorised to.
