Salman Said “I Don’t Think I Should Have...” After ‘Rape’ Quote

Salman Khan’s comment has not been reported in its entirety

While social media and news channels are hauling actor Salman Khan over the coals for his insensitive comment of comparing his condition after a physically demanding Sultan shoot to a “raped woman”, there’s a bit of his answer which seems to have gone unreported. According to Indian Express, the actor immediately after saying:

When I used to walk out of that ring, it used to be actually like a raped woman walking out.

also added as an afterthought:

I don’t think I should have...

Though it does not qualify as an apology, it does show that the actor realised his mistake right after callously comparing his condition with that of a rape survivor. While the star still owes a public apology for his crass statement, the fact remains that he regretted what he said. So while the media rightfully makes a hue and cry about Salman’s statement, it must also be fair in reporting his comment in its entirety.
