1. Salim Khan Apologises on Behalf of Salman for His ‘Rape’ Comment

Salim Khan is a super dad and has no qualms about apologising on behalf of Salman Khan for his infamously viral misquote about ‘feeling like a raped woman’, thanks to the intensive physical labour he was made to put in, on the sets of his upcoming wrestler drama Sultan.

The legendary writer is good with words, which is a blessing for his son, who clearly isn’t. What we’re really hoping to hear is for Salman to apologise for the unfortunate analogy.

4. MS Dhoni Release Date Pushed to Avoid Clash with Akira

Neeraj Pandey’s biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story just got pushed to a 30 September release date, and our guess is that the makers decided to do this to avoid a clash with the Sonakshi Sinha starrer Akira.

The much awaited biopic on cricket icon Mahendra Singh Dhoni was initially set for release on 2 September. But Akira just took that slot. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput shared the news via an Instagram post and Vijay Singh, CEO Fox Star Studios also confirmed the same in his statement to the media.

It was a unanimous decision to release the film on September 30. This would give the team some more time to present the film to the audiences in the best way. We in no way wanted to compromise on the visual experience that Neeraj Pandey is set to create with this movie.
Vijay Singh, CEO Fox Star Studios

M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story also stars Anupam Kher, Bhoomika Chawla, Kiara Advani, Herry Tangri and Disha Patani.

5. Pahlaj Nihalni Does Not Deserve the Chair He’s In: Anurag Kashyap

Anurag Kashyap, filmmaker and producer of Udta Punjab and CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani’s latest victim, voiced his angst against the man in power and his mindless habit to censor, with some really strong comments in a recent interview.

He also has an interesting theory about Nihalani having become the force that Bollywood is trying to fight against, with a united front.

The way the whole industry came together during Udta Punjab is not because I put up a fight, but because everyone has gone through it, especially in the last 2 years. It is Pahlaj Nilhani who has united the industry, not me. He did it by being the most unreasonable, eccentric, mad man who should actually be in a mad house rather than the CBFC. For me, their mentality is so narrow that they are scarier than the film and other people.
Anurag Kashyap, Filmmaker

Kashyap believes that Nihalani is abusing the power he has and is a mad man who belongs in a mad house, not in India’s film censor board.
