After being slammed by trolls and politicians for his comments on intolerance, actor Aamir Khan issued a statement clarifying that neither he nor his wife have any plans of leaving the country.

We never did (have any intention of leaving), and nor would we like to in the future. Anyone implying the opposite has either not seen my interview or is deliberately trying to distort what I have said. India is my country, I love it, I feel fortunate for being born here, and this is where I am staying.

Popular Hollywood flick Chef, directed and produced by Jon Favreau, will be remade in Hindi and Saif Ali Khan will be playing the titular role in it. In the original Chef, Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) quits his position at a prestigious Los Angeles restaurant and starts a food-truck business with the help of his friends and family.

I’m delighted to see Chef get an Indian remake. I’m excited to see how this personal film translates to the Indian culture. The themes of food, music and family should resonate well.
