We’ve seen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s no-makeup look from Omung Kumar’s Sarbjit. But her brand new look from the real-life drama is strikingly traditional and as gorgeous as ever. Aishwarya looks exquisite in a red and gold salwar kameez, in a Punjabi folk song from the upcoming biopic. There hasn’t been a more perfect Punjabi kudi.

The actress plays Dalbir Kaur, the sister of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian who lost his life in a Pakistani prison under the suspicion of being a spy.

Dalbir fought fiercely to get her brother released from the Lahore prison where he had been detained. Randeep Hooda plays Sarabjit Singh in the film while Richa Chadha essays the role of his wife.

The director and crew recently wrapped up their shoot schedule and the film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 20th this year.
