Priyanka Chopra has come out in support of the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Udta Punjab. While in Patna to promote the Bhojpuri film Bum Bum Bol Raha Hai Kashi which is co-produced by her mother, Chopra said, “Our forefathers achieved freedom of speech and expression for us after a long struggle… Creativity should not be stopped in democracy”.

According to PTI, while answering a question about the censor board which had raised objections against her film Jai Gangaajal, she clarified that it was a, “certification body and not censor.”

When she was asked about the demand to remove ‘Punjab’ from Udta Punjab she said that creativity cannot be changed according to censor board’s decisions.
