1. Salim Khan Confirms Threats Made to Salman Khan on Sets of Race 3

He had received death threats from a notorious Rajasthani gangster just days back. And now, Salman Khan reportedly has had to stop shooting for Race 3 after armed men reached the film’s sets. According to Hindustan Times, the actor was escorted home by the police and the shooting of the Remo D'Souza film has been stalled for now.

A source narrated the incident to Mumbai Mirror: “The police arrived at the Race 3 set in Film City and told Salman and producer Ramesh Taurani that the shoot had to be stopped immediately as the actor needed to head home as soon as possible. Salman was escorted in another car by six cops, while his own car was driven back to his residence by another group of cops”.

2. Nawaz Infiltrates the Web Series World With Amazon Prime’s McMafia

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to make his debut in the web-series arena with BBC series, McMafia that will now be available on Amazon Prime. The Haraamkhor actor will be essaying the role of Dilly Mahmood - an Indian business partner. Starring alongside James Norton, Nawazuddin reportedly shot for McMafia in Mumbai and Croatia last year.

3. KJo Trolled After He Mistakes Akshay Kumar for Parineeti Chopra

Mistakes happen. Even if you are Karan Johar. While announcing the lead female actor of Kesari on Twitter, Karan tweeted out Akshay Kumar’s picture.

Now surely, it was quite the human error, but Twitter isn’t forgiving at all. KJo was at the receiving end of a lot of trolling, with mostly people tweeting pictures of Parineeti and calling her Akshay Kumar.

And hilarity ensued.

4. Dropped the ‘I’, Added an ‘A’, the Film Is Now Called ‘Padmaavat’

After being riddled with controversy, the team of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period film, Padmavati, has officially changed the film’s title to Padmaavat. A change in the film’s official Twitter handle has confirmed this after the CBFC’s recommendations for a few modifications and an alteration to the title.

Padmavati now Padmaavat has been in the midst of controversies over the last year. Protests by the Karni Sena and other Rajput groups also led to postponing of the film from its scheduled release date of 1 December 2017. Padmaavat is currently scheduled to release on 25 January, but this is yet to be officially announced by the producers Viacom 18.
