The makers of Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Saaho have spared no expense in their quest to make the film one of India’s biggest action blockbusters. The Sujeeth directorial has been made on a massive budget of Rs 350 crores and features the work of some of the best technicians in Hollywood such as stunt choreographer Kenny Bates, of Transformers and Mission Impossible fame, and professionals from the sets of Game of Thrones.

In an interview with Indian Express, Prabhas said that many of the stunts you see in the film have been performed by the actors rather than relying on body doubles and CGI, including the truck sequence seen in the trailer. He also claimed that the producers spent Rs 75 crore on a single action scene.

Speaking to Firstpost, Prabhas said that he was sure the action sequences would be on par with Hollywood blockbusters. He shared his experience working with Kenny Bates and his team who, he says, worked meticulously to coordinate stunts right from the pre-production stage to ensure they were pulled off smoothly and safely.

“Kenny Bates came up with his own crew, and the other foreign stunt choreographers worked in the film also preferred working with their own team as coordination is the key in risky action episodes. They brought their own camera crew featuring four to five camera operators, truck operators, skilled drivers, and coordinated with our cinematographer Madhie and production designer Sabu Cyril.”

Mumbai Mirror had earlier reported that Peng Zhang, known for films like Rush Hour 3, has designed the eight-minute fight scene at the climax. It has reportedly been shot on a 10-acre desert that was specially created for the film.
