The fate of Karan Johar’s Shiddat seemed to hang in the balance after Sridevi’s demise. Rumours were rife that Sridevi’s contemporary, Madhuri Dixit is set to take on her role in the film. Janhvi Kapoor’s post on Instagram now confirms this development.
The Ek Do Teen diva will now play the role offered by Dharma Productions to Sridevi in the Abhishek Varman directorial.

2. ‘Race 3’ First Look: Salman Khan Is Back as Selfless Sikander
The first look of Salman Khan as Sikander in Race 3 is out and it’s everything every Salman fan waits for. Looking stylish in shades and with a gun in his hand, the suited-booted actor looks ready to take on the evil world in the first look of Race 3.
Salman took to social media to share the first look with the slogan: “Is hafte milata hoon #Race3 ki family se ... mera naam hai Sikander. Selfless over selfish . #Race3ThisEid @tipsofficial @SKFilmsOfficial”.
Shot in Bangkok and Mumbai along with Abu Dhabi, Race 3 is directed by Remo D’Souza and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol among others. It is slated to release in June around Eid this year.
3. Ajay Devgn ‘Raid’s the Box-Office, Beats Akshay Kumar’s ‘Padman’
Ajay Devgn’s Raid directed by Raj Kumar Gupta saw a huge growth in collections at the box-office over the weekend. The film which opened at Rs 10.04 crore on Friday, jumped to Rs 17.11 crore on Sunday. With a total first weekend box-office collection of Rs 41.01 crore, Raid has now become the second highest box-office grosser of 2018 after Padmaavat.

4. Vishal Bhardwaj & Deepika Padukone Will Wait for ‘Warrior’ Irrfan
They had announced a new film together a few days back. And now director Vishal Bhardwaj has shared on Twitter that he, actor Deepika Padukone and the producers have decided to wait for Irrfan Khan to return after his treatment and that the shoot has been rescheduled.
He wrote: “Irrfan is a warrior and we know he will conquer this battle. Therefore @deepikapadukone, Prernaa @kriarj and I have decided to reschedule our film and start with renewed energy and celebration when our warrior returns as a winner.”

5. Jacqueline Burns the Dance Floor With Baaghi 2’s ‘Ek Do Teen’
Baaghi 2 seems hellbent on remaking songs. After decimating the Labh Janjuaclassic, Mundiyan (Punjabi MC’s anthem in the 90s), the makers of the Tiger Shroff-Dishan Patani film have released another 90s classic. It’s Ek Do Teen from Tezaab, the one where Madhuri Dixit basically defined a ‘thumka’. The remake features Jacqueline Fernandez in a sizzling avatar.

6. Sushant to Romance Sanjana In ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ Remake
Sushant Singh Rajput has finally got a leading lady for his remake of the Hollywood hit, Fault In Our Stars. The film, based on John Green’s bestseller by the same name will be remade in Hindi by the film industry’s popular casting director Mukesh Chhabra. While Sushant plays the role Ansel Elgort did in the original, Sanjana will reprise Shailene Woodley’s part. Fox Star Studios who will be producing the Hindi version, tweeted the announcement on Monday morning.
