The outspoken Kangana Ranaut who doesn’t usually mince her words when it comes to speaking up about everything from male chauvinism in Bollywood to candidly admitting how her parents told her that she was an unwanted girl child, seems to have decided to practice some diplomacy on Salman Khan’s controversial “rape” comment.
Yes, kudos to her for being one of the few Bollywood celebrities to have even addressed the star’s disgusting comment in the first place and calling it out for being “horrible” and “insensitive” but what was that about it not being about the individual?

The last part absolving Salman Khan from his callous remark and putting the onus on “society” and “thought process” seemed to be a complete cop-out. Going by Kangana’s logic, society and mindset would be held guilty for each and every unpardonable act since the perpetrator’s action would have been the outcome of some sort of socialization and result of a certain belief system the society ingrained in him.
Kangana did a fine job of being counted as the only actress to have stood up and made it a point to comment on Salman Khan’s faux pas, there by getting cheered on from the sidelines on social and electronic media BUT she also made sure she didn’t burn her bridges with an influential star who could mess with her career. The queen wisely chose to wear a crown of diplomacy on this one.
