The second look of Rajinikanth-starrer Darbar was unveiled after a long wait, by Lyca Productions. The actor is seen flexing his muscles in the new poster which was released on Wednesday.

Director A R Murugadoss also shared the poster and wrote, “Younger, smarter, wiser, tougher... Thalaivar in a never seen before Avatar.”

The film, which sees Rajinikanth and Murugadoss collaborate for the first time will have the 68-year-old actor playing a police officer in a movie for the first time in 25 years after Pandiyan (1992). In July this year, the director had revealed Rajinikanth’s look from the film in a few stills. In one still, Thalaivar can be seen standing in a cloud of dust, dressed in a policeman’s outfit and wielding a sword in one hand. The other sees him in a more dapper avatar with a checked shirt and blue blazer.

Darbar will reportedly be Suniel Shetty’s Tamil film debut and also stars Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, Prateik Babbar and Dalip Tahil. It has been bankrolled by Lyca Productions, which also backed Rajinikanth’s 2018 film 2.0.

Murugadoss has revealed the first poster for the film in April with the tagline "You decide whether you want to be good, bad or worse”.
