The makers of the period film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy have dropped new posters, and we get a glimpse of the characters. Amitabh Bachchan is introduced as the “guiding force” and guru of Narasimha Reddy aka Chiranjeevi. Excel Entertainment took to Twitter to share the character posters. “Gosaayi Venkanna, the guiding force and guru behind Narasimha Reddy's freedom struggle”, they wrote for Amitabh Bachchan.
“Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the fearless inspiration behind India’s first ever rebellion against the British,” reads the poster for Chiranjeevi.
Kichcha Sudeep also stars in the film. “Avuku Raju, the ambitious leader and nemisis of Narasimha Reddy, joins the forces in the revolt against the British rule!” - this is the way he is being introduced.
Farhan Akhtar also took to Twitter to give us a sneak peek into the other characters.
Set in the 1850s, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is based on the life of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who rebelled against the British. The stellar cast includes Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah, Ravi Kishan and Niharika. The film is directed by Surender Reddy. The teaser will be released on 20 August.
