Kevin Spacey gets the boot in Ridley Scott’s finished film, a J Paul Getty biopic - All the Money in the World, as fresh allegations of sexual harassment against a teenage boy surface against him. Veteran actor, Christopher Plummer is set to replace Spacey. In a bold move, Sony Pictures has agreed to reshoot all of Spacey’s scenes, sources close to the production said. This is unprecedented, considering the December 22 release date is imminent.

This development follows a statement from the former TV news anchor, Heather Unruh, who said that her son, 18 then was too embarrassed and scared to report the assault. Unruh says, ““To Kevin Spacey, I want to say this: Shame on you for what you did to my son.”

The film based on the infamous 1973 kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III was meant to be premiered at the AFI Fest in Los Angeles on 16 November but was dropped amid sexual misconduct accusations surrounding Spacey.

The film also stars Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams but many of the scenes solely feature Spacey, who essayed the character of the daunting patriarch, Getty. Sources suggest that the decision was arbitrarily taken by Scott while the studio executives insisted on a bigger star than Plummer.

It all started two weeks ago when actor Anthony Rap revealed that Spacey made sexual advances toward him when he was just 14 years old. Netflix also recently distanced itself from Spacey by firing him from the sixth season of House of Cards.
