The theme for the 2016 India Conference is ‘India in Transition - Opportunities and Challenges’. How India can effectively utilize technology and emerge as a soft power, will be the focal point of the discussion at this mega conference. Kamal Haasan, who flew down to the US to conduct a recce for his upcoming untitled film with Malayalam filmmaker TK Rajeev Kumar, has already confirmed his participation at the conclave.

Although Kamal Haasan is a school drop-out, he has been a relentless proponent of technology in cinema and is considered to be one of the more erudite, well-read intellectuals in the Indian film industry. Kamal Haasan, who holds the prestigious office of the Chairman of FICCI’s Media and Entertainment division, will deliver the 70-minute long keynote address at the congregation on February 6th at 5 PM.
