They are famous and so are their parents. And when they share the screen, it’s a double bonanza.
Sonakshi Sinha, who is already shooting for AR Murugadoss’ next film Akira, will finally gets to play Shatrughan’s reel life daughter in the film. Well, she is not the only celeb kid who gets to share screen space with her dad. Here are a few real life parent-kid jodis that shared the big screen space as well.
The Kapoor Dynasty
Raj Kapoor the showman first shared screen space with his children in Shree 420 (1955). The three kids walking down the road wearing raincoats in the famous song ‘Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua Hai’ are none other than Randhir Kaoor, Ritu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.
And like they say history repeats itself. A few decades later we saw Raj Kapoor’s son and grandson, sharing the screen. Ranbir Kapoor was seen with Rishi Kapoor and mother Neetu Kapoor in Besharam (2013). The film tanked at the box office, but hopefully we will see them again.
Dutt’s Emotional Adieu
Just few years before his death Sunil Dutt played his son Sanjay Dutt’s reel life father in Raj Kumar Hirani’s Munnabhai MBBS (2003). It was an emotional moment for both father and son and it was Sunil Dutt’s last ever silver-screen appearance as well.
Make way for the Bachchans
He is the ‘Sarkar’ and no one could have played his son better than his own Abhishek Bachchan. Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan are the lucky father-son duo who got to share screen space a number of times. From Sarkar and Bunty Aur Babli to Paa. When they come together, you can expect a super-hit.
The Deol Men
He is the ‘He-man’ of Indian cinema and his sons are Pagla and Deewana. Yes it’s the Deols. Dharmendra has shared screen space with both his sons, Sunny and Bobby, in Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) and Apne (2007). The Deol men are usually seen doing what they do best, action with a twist of comedy.
The Talented Twosome
Shruti Haasan, eldest daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika may not have had a hunky-dory relationship with her father but the actress appeared as a child artiste in her father’s film Hey Ram.
