In what is probably the most low-key, yet grand celebrity wedding, Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya and businessman and actor Vishagan Vanangamudi tied the knot on 11 February 2019.
For both the bride and groom, this is the second marriage. Soundarya has managed to blaze a path unto herself that is now larger than her father’s shadow.
Who then, is Vishagan, beyond the tag of ‘Rajinikanth’s son-in-law?’
Vishagan burst into the scene as one of the lead actors in Vanjagar Ulagam, his debut film, last year (2018). When he’s not playing investigative journalist on screen, he runs a pharmaceutical company. This is how the bio runs;
Vishagan Vanangamudi. Executive Director of Apex Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., one of the leading family-owned pharmaceutical company in India. Vishagan is a graduate in Management from Bradford University, UK and a Masters in Management from London University. He is a second generation entrepreneur.
Little else is known about Vishagan, other than that he has been a family friend and also friend to Soundarya’s former husband Ashwin.
If Vanjagar Ulagam is anything to go by, he shows promise as an actor. As for his wedlock with Soundarya, here’s to forever after!
