Since the announcement of Laal Singh Chaddha, the movie has created quite a lot of buzz. Starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles, is a Hindi remake of the hugely popular Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Now, in an interview with Film Companion, Manoj Bajpayee confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will be starring in Laal Singh Chaddha.
In a recent chat show, Anupama Chopra had Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Manoj Bajpayee, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vijay Sethupathi, Vijay Devarakonda and Parvathy Thiruvothu discuss various topics including actors’ acting processes, their inspirations, changing times etc.
During the interaction, Vijay Sethupathi spoke about the Hindi language being a barrier for him. But to this Manoj Bajpayee confirmed that he is indeed a part of Laal Singh Chaddha. Vijay spoke about his major fear when he is doing films in any other language besides Tamil and Telugu. He added that his major fears are language and culture. He further said that anyone can learn the language easily, but culture is very important. Only through culture, we can connect with the audience.
“If you go to Saudi Arabia and work there for 6 months, you can learn Arabic also. Language is not a big barrier, but the main thing is that I should know the culture,” Vijay added.
The first poster of Laal Singh Chaddha was dropped on 18 November.
The film is set to hit the theatres on 25 December, 2020.
