1. SRK in Trouble Again: Alibaug House Comes Under Income Tax Radar

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan seems to be in trouble again. The actor has allegedly come under inspection for violating rules for building his ultra-luxurious villa in Alibaug. The actor recently celebrated his birthday and anniversary at the villa.

According to a report in India Today, there are four allegations being made against King Khan.

2. I’ve Not Watched ‘Padmavati’ Yet, Says CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi

Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Prasoon Joshi says he has not yet watched the controversial film Padmavati, contrary to reports.

In a text to IANS, Joshi clarified:

“The speculative reports a few publications are carrying about I having watched ‘Padmavati’ are absolutely baseless and untrue. I have not watched the film, not expressed any views regarding it. The film will follow the due process at CBFC.”

Star kids, Jhanvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar grace the poster of Dhadak against the background of a desert shining in blazing orange hues. A co-production of Zee Studios and Dharma Films, Karan Johar was more than proud to tweet two posters announcing Dhadak, reportedly a remake of Nagraj Manjule’s Sairat. Johar is evidently unfazed by all the nepotism talk!

4. A Rebooted ‘O Meri Mehbooba’ Goes Funky for ‘Fukrey Returns’

Fukrey Returns, the sequel to the very popular Fukrey, brings back the iconic song O Meri Mehbooba from Manmohan Desai's 1977 fantasy-adventure, Dharam Veer.While the original had Dharmendra and Zeenat Aman keeping time to the beat, the new rendition takes Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh to the disco.

Shot in a dance club, O Meri Mehbooba comes armed with peppy beats, rap, English lyrics in chorus, et al, even as the boys show off their best moves on the dance floor. The song has been composed by Prem and Hardeep and sung by Neha Kakkar and Yasser Desai.

5. John Abraham Expresses Desire to Set up Football Academy in Assam

Actor and owner of Indian Super League (ISL) franchise, North East United FC (NEUFC), John Abraham is likely to set up a world class football academy in Guwahati.

Abraham said this to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the Brahmaputra State Guest House during a meeting on Tuesday and Sonowal has assured him of all the support for setting up the football academy. Sonowal informed the NEUFC owner that the state government has accorded top priority to development of sports in Assam.

“We are resolutely working to make Guwahati the sports capital of the country. Our government has given priority to strengthening sports infrastructure and organising international sports events to boost this claim.”
