1. ‘Padmavat’ Will Not Be Released in Rajasthan: CM Vasundhara Raje

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has said Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat won't be released in her state.

In a media release, Raje said Rani Padmini's martyrdom and sacrifice were an honour for everyone.

She said Padmini was more than just history, and that she’d asked her Home Minister, Gulab Chand Kataria, to take steps to prevent the release of Padmavat in Rajasthan.

2. Priyanka Makes a Statement Without Attending the Golden Globes

Even if actress Priyanka Chopra was not at the 75th Golden Globe Awards, it didn't stop her from lending support to the Time's Up campaign by sporting an all-black ensemble.

The actress took to Instagram to shared a photograph of herself in an all-black ensemble -- much like what was flaunted by Hollywood's Who's Who at the awards gala on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Yami Gautam looks all set to drop her girl-next-door image. The actor who hit big time with Vicky Donor and was seen last year in Kaabil did a cover-shoot full of oomph for a leading magazine recently. Even before Vicky Donor, Yami was recognised as the face of a fairness cream brand, the actor was also part of Sriram Raghavan’s intense revenge drama Badlapur.

5. BMC Razes Illegal Extensions in Shatrughan Sinha’s Mumbai House

The city civic body has razed illegal extensions and constructions in an eight-storey residential building owned by BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha in Juhu area.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had received several complaints of illegal extensions in Sinha's residence 'Ramayan' in the last few months. Subsequently, notices were also served to him, a civic official said today.
