1. What Ranveer Singh Revealed About Deepika on The Kapil Sharma Show

Things are looking up for the funny man and controversy’s favourite child, Kapil Sharma towards the end of 2018. Sharma tied the knot on 12 December and his show, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ returns to the small screen on 29 December. Team Simmba - Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Rohit Shetty are set to be the guests for the inaugural episode.

A promotional clip showcases Ranveer in a velvet jacket. While declaring that Deepika now manages his wardrobe, he reportedly said “I’m looking like a tempting Red Velvet Cake today.”

2. KJo Got Emotional With Alia’s ‘Kalank’ Performance

Filmmaker Karan Johar feels actor Alia Bhatt has done a wonderful job in multi-starrer period drama Kalank, and says he got emotional after seeing her performance.

"I saw something that Alia had done in Kalank and I was just so moved by the work she had done," Karan said in a statement.

"I won't disclose what it is (but) she has done something in the film. You know when I see Alia I get that feeling like I'm seeing my daughter perform. And because I have that emotion for her I just started crying in the end for some weird reason. I'm going through something internally which I'm not aware of and I just got very teary. And I rang her up and said her I got very emotional, well done," he added.

4. Detractors Will Shut Their Mouths After ‘Manikarnika’: Kangana

Actor Kangana Ranaut, who is gearing for the release of her forthcoming film Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi, says that people who criticise her at the drop of a hat will have to shut their mouths after watching the film.

Kangana was interacting with the media on the sidelines of her fashion designer friend Neeta Lulla's Christmas celebration party along with Ankita Lokhande in Mumbai on Tuesday, 25 December.

Talking about her critics, Kangana said, "I feel people who are not saying good things about me or my film will have to shut their mouths after watching the film and people who are saying good things, their mouths can't be shut by anyone, this is what I feel."

5. CBFC Objects to Babri Masjid and Other Scenes in ‘Thackeray’

The Central Board of Film Certification has raised objections to four scenes and two dialogues in the upcoming biopic Thackeray, according to reports by ANI. Directed by Abhijit Panse and produced by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, the film follows the story of the late Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray, who is portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Reports suggest that a particular scene dealing with the Babri Masjid controversy and a dialogue that allegedly is a slur against South Indians are among the content that the board has taken issue to.
