A case has been registered against Sunil Kumar under two sections of the Indian Penal Code: section 120b (Criminal Conspiracy) and section 355 (Assault). The case has been registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Johnny Sagariga, a music company owner.

The complaint says that Pulsar Suni’s man kidnapped a woman actor, who is also married to a producer. The incident happened during a movie shoot at Kochi in 2011. Though the actor had spoken up about it, no police complaint had been registered till now. Police sources say that though the plan was to kidnap a young actor on the sets but Suni’s man accidentally kidnapped another senior woman actor.

The Kerala police seem to be making an effort to prove that Pulsar Suni has a history of assaulting women in the film industry on a contract basis.

The police have alleged that popular actor Dileep had paid Pulsar Suni money to sexually assault and take videos of the actor who was kidnapped in February 2017. The remand report filed by the police team says that Dileep was ready to pay Rs 2 crore as fee for executing the contract.

On Monday, police questioned actor and Kollam MLA Mukesh and Alwaye MLA Anwar Sadat for their links with Dileep.

Reports suggest that Kerala Assembly speaker Sreeramakrishnan was unhappy with the police questioning Mukesh at the MLA hostel, without prior permission.

Meanwhile, the Kerala High Court declined to hear Dileep’s petition on Monday and has posted the matter for Thursday. The Angamaly magistrate court in its order on Saturday had said that it was rejecting Dileep’s bail plea as there was apprehension that he would tamper with evidence. The court also said that by rejecting bail it was sending a message to like-minded people that such acts will not be tolerated.
