The morning after the city bid goodbye to Ganpati Bappa, 1,200 Mumbaikars gathered on Juhu beach to help clean up the debris and garbage left behind. Among them was actor Dia Mirza who did her bit to help nature breathe. Check out the video.

The morning after Ganpati visarjan, actor Randeep Hooda did his bit to help clean the Juhu Beach in Mumbai. On Wednesday morning, Randeep joined forces with an NGO run by Afroz Shah to remove some of the garbage and filth left behind by the celebrating crowd on the beach.

The Highway actor has been taking initiative to keep the environment clean for a long time now. Randeep thanked Afroz on Twitter for letting him be a part of this initiative and expressed his gratitude for being able to actually do something for his country and the environment.

3. Shabana, Javed & Renuka Condemn Murder of Gauri Lankesh

Gauri Lankesh, senior journalist-activist was shot dead by unidentified assailants at her residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar in West Bengaluru late on 5 September. Lankesh was a vocal critic of right-wing parties in Karnataka.

Bollywood personalities Shekhar Kapur, Dia Mirza, Nandita Das and Shirish Kunder condemned the death of the senior Kannada journalist and social activist.

Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Renuka Shahane not only condemned Gauri Lankesh's murder, but also questioned the authorities about the unsolved murder of three other outspoken critics of right-wing extremist ideology - M.M. Kalburgi, Govind Pansare and Narendra Dabholkar.

4. I’m Not the Villain In Kapil Sharma’s Story: Rajiv Dhingra

Lately there have been many reports around Kapil Sharma’s show being sabotaged and aborted by his friend and associate Rajiv Dhingra, who incidentally served as  Creative Director on The KapilSharma Show, after the infamous mid-air scuffle between Kapil and Sunil Grover, which made half the actors sharing the stage walk out too. Dhingra was also the director of Comedy Nights With Kapil for the first 30 episodes.

But in this exclusive interview, Rajiv has a different story to tell.

Now that The Kapil Sharma Show is terminated, at least for now, it is easy to make a scapegoat out of someone who is very close to Kapil. And I am very close to him. I am his childhood friend. We’ve grown up together and I’ve been with him from the beginning. It pains me to see fingers being pointed at me for the show being closed down.

5. Excited to Play Abhinav Bindra in Biopic: Harshvardhan Kapoor

Harshvardhan Kapoor, who will be playing Abhinav Bindra in a biopic, took to Instagram to share a photo with the Olympic-winning shooter.

Talking about his upcoming film, a source told Mid-day, "The biopic is a big responsibility because of the subject matter. It is the most mammoth responsibility I've ever shouldered. Harsh also visited the Navi Mumbai shooting range to meet Abhinav's coach. He even checked out the rifles in an attempt to get a feel of the whole thing".
